Required Documents

Please note that you are requested to upload scanned versions of all your original documents and keep the originals in case they are requested during the selection process. In case original documents are not in English or the language of your host country, you need to upload scanned versions of official translations of these documents into English!

Keep in mind that host universities may ask for additional documents (in addition to the documents listed below). Check your host university’s academic offer under the section Fields of Study and upload any additional documents (if required) to your online application.

It is the responsibility of the applicant that all required documents are uploaded.

Applications for all levels of mobility can be submitted at the first call for applications. The call will be announced soon.


Undergraduate (exchange studies)

  • Motivation Letter

Approximate length of the motivation letter is one page. Please explain your interest in participating in the programme and demonstrate why you are a good candidate.

  • Language certificates

Language requirements differ depending on the mobility level, study programme and host university. Please read the information in the academic offer of the host university under the section Fields of Study.

In case the host university requires a language certificate and the applicant is not able to provide it at the time of application, the following options are possible:

  • Upload a word document in which you show the proof of your knowledge (e.g. a confirmation from your home institution, or a language centre), but first make sure this option is acceptable at the host institution in question!
  • Upload a word document in which you show an e-mail correspondence with the host institution where they confirm that you can provide the language certificate at a later stage.
  • Upload a word document in which you explain any other special circumstance arranged by your home institution or based on your personal situation (e.g. your home institution offered to upload the confirmation at a later stage, you had a study abroad experience in a country speaking the language required from you (English, German, French…etc.)
  • Transcripts of records

Transcript of records is a list of courses passed at your home institution. Your transcript of records must show 60 ECTS successfully completed.

  • Proof of Registration

Document issued by the home university stating that applicant is currently enrolled.

  • Target Group 3 proof

Document indicating the candidate belongs to Target Group 3 (only for students applying under Target Group 3).

  • Recommendation letter (optional)

This document is not obligatory.

  • Personal photo (optional)
