Available types of mobility (levels of study):

 

Undergraduate

HUMERIA offers only exchange mobility for undergraduate students. In order to be eligible, undergraduate students need to be enrolled in an undergraduate programme (BA or equivalent) and have already finished at least one year of undergraduate studies.

An undergraduate student is registered at an institution (home institution), which is either a partner in the HUMERIA partnership (see the list of Partners) or any institution in ENPI region (only for Target Group 3). The exchange period for undergraduate students lasts either 1 semester or 1 academic year (max. 10 months).

Students do not obtain a diploma from the host institution. However, all academic results will be sent to the students’ home institution and will be recognized by using the two ECTS tools: the learning agreement and the transcript of records.

  • Target Group 3 (not applicable for EU Nationals)

 

 

Master exchange

In order to be eligible, students must have finished their undergraduate studies (BA or equivalent).

A master’s exchange student must be registered at an institution (home institution) which can be either a partner institution within the partnership (Target Group 1) or any other institution in ENPI region (only for Target Groups 2 and 3). The exchange period for students lasts either 1 semester or 1 academic year (max. 10 months).

Students do not obtain a diploma from the host institution. However, all academic results will be sent to the students’ home institution and will be recognized by using the two ECTS tools: the learning agreement and the transcript of records.

Master degree studies

In order to be eligible, students must have finished their undergraduate studies (BA or equivalent).

Master’s degree programmes are offered only for candidates from the ENPI region who wishes to complete a full master’s degree in Europe (it is not possible for EU students to apply for a full master’s degree through HUMERIA). As master’s degree student grantees will be registered at one of the EU partner institutions and will no longer retain student status at their former home institution in ENPI region. Master’s degree students will obtain a diploma from the EU institution. Students applying for MA degree studies need to comply with the local admission requirements. If selected, they have to follow the standard individual application procedure at the EU institution. Admission criteria of all partner institutions in the consortium have to be respected.

The HUMERIA partnership provides scholarships for master’s degree students from 12 months up to a maximum duration of 22 months, depending on the duration of the master’s programme in the EU partner institution.

 Doctorate

In order to be eligible, applicants for doctorate studies must have finished their master’s studies (or equivalent).

HUMERIA offers only exchange mobility for doctorates. A doctorate exchange student must be registered at an institution (home institution) which can be either a partner institution within the consortium (Target Group 1) or any other institution in the ENPI region (only for Target Groups 2 and 3). The exchange period for students can be either 1 semester, 1 academic year or 2 academic years (1. academic year max 10 months, 2 academic years max. 22 months). Doctorate exchange students do not obtain a diploma from the host institution. However, all academic results will be sent to the students’ home institution and will be recognized by using the two ECTS tools: the learning agreement and the transcript of records/report.

Before applying, doctorate exchange applicants need to already have established contact with the host institution in order to guarantee that the profile of the doctorate applicant matches the thematic expertise of the host institution. Therefore, all doctorate exchange applicants are asked to upload a Letter of Interest and a Study and Research Plan.

Post-doctorate

In order to be eligible, applicants for post-doctorate studies must have successfully completed their doctorate studies.

Before applying, post-doctorate applicants need to already have established contact with the host institution in order to guarantee that the profile of the post-doctorate applicant matches the thematic expertise of the host institution. Therefore, all post-doctorate applicants are asked to upload a Letter of Interest and a Mobility Activity Plan.

The exchange period for post-doctorates lasts for 6 months.

Staff

Staff applicants (either academic or non-academic staff) must be affiliated with one of the HUMERIA partner institutions (if applying as Target Group 1), or with any Higher Education Institution that is eligible for Target Group 2.

Staff mobility refers exclusively to training, teaching and/or research activities.

Before applying, staff applicants need to already have established contact with the host institution in order to guarantee that the profile of the applicant matches the thematic expertise of the host institution. Before applying the staff applicant, the host institution and the home institution need to agree on the programme of the mobility (in-depth description of lectures to be delivered, in-depth description of research activities and/or in-depth description of the type of training to be followed), by filling in and signing the Mobility Activity Plan. Also, a Letter of Interest needs to be signed by the academic coordinator/supervisor at the host institution and a Letter of Support needs to be signed by the head of office at the home institution. Applicants shall download drafts of the letters and upload a filled-in and signed letters when applying.

The duration of staff mobility is one month.
